Abstract This report shows data on strains of enteropathogenic bacteria isolated from human, animal, food and environment samples, during 2022 in Umbria Region (Italy). A total of 775 strains were notified to the Regional Reference Center of Umbria. Among the human clinical cases, 218 Campylobacter and 161 Salmonella strains were reported. Monophasic variant of Salmonella Typhimurium is the most frequently isolated serotype in humans (42,24%), while among Campylobacter strains, Campylobacter jejuni is the most frequently reported species (77,06%). As regards non-human enteropathogenic bacteria, most of the isolates are represented by Salmonella strains (204 out of 329 - 62%). Salmonella Infantis and Salmonella Derby are the most frequently isolated serotypes from food samples. Antibiotic resistance data about human Salmonella strains show slight decrease in multi-resistant strains compared to the previous year.
