Abstract   The aim of this graduation thesis is to explain the relevance of learning infectious diseases, focused on veterinary medicine or with a One Health approach, through the so-called gamification, that means using well known activities for fun purpose, like games or videogames, to teach knowledge of a specific discipline to a certain target, as practitioners, university or school students, or common citizens. A series of examples, like the use of a videogame to simulate a farm reality to sensitize the workers about the biosecurity theme, the use of games to extend Malaysian student's knowledge about leptospirosis, or the use of the strategy and simulation game Plague inc. by many didactic contexts, are presented to demonstrate the validity of this innovative method for teaching. Moreover, the local project Micro-Epidemic 2019 has been introduced; the project is currently in progress, and it has a didactic purpose, raising awareness of the common citizens and the food industry workers on the zoonoses.
