Abstract   The Covid-19 emergency has brought considerable changes in the management processes of Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell'Umbria e delle Marche. The Decrees of the President of the Council of Ministers, which set out the measures to deal with the current epidemiological emergency, made it impossible to carry out the planned on-site audits in order to limit the contagion. The Institute quickly resumed its inspection activities in remote mode. The application of remote audit is a method that, in line with Accredia dispositions, makes it possible to overcome the inconveniences that would have arisen if this instrument had not been used. Therefore, the remote audit is an opportunity not without risks, which the institution is ready to take advantage of with a view to continuous improvement and efficiency.
